Monopolar Radiofrequency

Monopolar Radiofrequency (MRF) helps to alleviate cellulite symptoms and shrinks fat by several mechanisms such as increasing adipocyte metabolism, fibrosis disruption; dermal tightening and fat shrinking due to thermal injury and heat delivery to blood vessels, which triggers a cascade of inflammatory events including fibroblasts proliferation and up-regulation of collagen formation; enhancement of local blood circulation (vasodilation and hypermia) and drainage of fatty deposits to the lymphatic system.

How does monopolar radiofrequency (RF) work?

Deep tissue radiofrequency is the strongest and most effective radiofrequency technology for skin tightening and fat reduction. Monopolar Radiofrequency can be used for non-surgical body contouring as well as fat and cellulite reduction. RF energy is delivered into the skin and deeper tissues to break down cellulite; releasing and flushing away toxins and fatty deposits; draining excess fluid; and stimulate the adipocytes to release fat into the bloodstream and physically damage many of them. Also, by heating affects the superficial and deep skin tissue and causes immediate collagen tightening. Radio frequency helps to concentrate the body’s collagen fibres and encourages the quick regeneration of the collagen and elastin that we lose. This results in a firmer, tighter skin.

Am I a Candidate?

Radiofrequency treatments are ideal for those who wish to effectively contour the body, reduce fatty deposits and improve the appearance of cellulite.

What will be happen during the treatment?

A lubricating gel will be applied over the treatment area to allow the hand piece to move smoothly over the treatment area, then your practitioner will work across the treatment area delivering targeted RF energy. Once completed, a soothing gel or cold pack may be applied to your skin.

Which area can be treated?

Our device is suitable for use on the face and body.

How long time does treatment take?

Treatment usually takes from 30-90 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area.

How many sessions do I need and what is the interval between the sessions?

It may be recommended to have a session every 1-2 weeks with an average of 8-10 sessions in a treatment programme. Ongoing monthly maintenance sessions will be required.

Is there any after care?

You may be advised to apply a cooling or soothing lotion to the treatment area after a session. Most people find that they can return to normal activities immediately after treatment.

Is there any risks and Complications?

The RF energy will heat up your skin and underlying tissue during treatment, although some devices have inbuilt cooling mechanisms to protect your skin from the heat and make the treatment more comfortable. The most common side effects of RF treatment are some swelling, redness or bruising around the treated area, which will typically disappear in a few days.
